 Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity to join our garage team and provide excellent service to the Council and the public?

City Enterprises is the Service Delivery unit responsible for providing both professional services together with physical works for internal and external clients. We operate a fully functional garage/workshop for the repair and on-going maintenance of our vehicle fleet and plant. We currently have a vacancy for an Automotive Engineer (mechanic).

You will carry out repairs on our fleet vehicles and perform periodic maintenance to ensure that these vehicles and plant are road worthy and fit for purpose. You’ll be required to actively partake in any training opportunities which will ensure that your skills and knowledge remain as up-to-date as possible.

To be successful in this role you’ll have a Trade or National Certificate in Automotive or Heavy Automotive Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Your WOF Issuing Authority would be an advantage, as would your previous experience with operating budgets. A current full driver’s licence is essential for this position, but also having your classes 2,3,4,5,F,R,T,W would be very desirable.
